Summits For Kids
Since that date, we have grown to become a much larger family and are
excited to charge forward with the official formation of a non-profit
organization that will use a love & passion for climbing as the focal
instrument to significantly improve the quality of life for children around
the world.

We're in the process of both obtaining our official status, and of
developing a number of programs we'll be using to spearhead and develop
our first major project, we're calling "
An Oasis In The Desert." Through
this outreach, we'll be helping develop and build sustainable food
supplies, in the form of Aquaponic farms, in areas of the world in need of
resources.  For more about this endeavour, please visit our
Project page.

We're building Summits For Kids to fulfill two major functions: 1) Help
play a role in the development of sustainable, nutritious, local,
cost-effective food sources in areas of the world deprived of adequate
resources, and 2) Aide in the restoration of areas severely impacted by
natural disasters.

There are several programs we are working on putting into place to
accomplish this, and we're excited to be initiating some of them soon.
These programs will range from outdoor summer climbing camps for kids,
to summit experiences for adults interested in fundraising to support our
efforts & mission.

We are a group of climbers brought together with a mission of helping
children through our passion for climbing.  Our idea was born in 2008
after spending quite a bit of time with climbers active in outreach
programs and working hard to have some impact for those in need of help.

A small group of us decided to use our passion for climbing to help raise
awareness for, and raise money for, a cause we had latched onto and
become passionate about.
Of course, just as with a successful climb, we can't do it alone.  We
need the support of a network of communities.  That's why we are
excited that you're checking out our page, and we hope you will be
interested in joining us to take on this mountain before us.

With so many great plans (and climbs) in the works, the best way to
keep up with updates on what we're doing, ways to support, and ways
to participate is to register to receive our free monthly newsletter.
